Tapjoy Wins 2018 ThinkLA IDEA Award for Best Mobile Campaign

Tapjoy is pleased to announce that we won the ThinkLA IDEA Award for our work with Vizeum promoting 20th Century Fox International’s major motion picture, Ferdinand. At the star-studded awards gala held at the Beverly Hilton hotel on June 7, ThinkLA named our “UnBULLievably Entertaining” campaign as the “Best Mobile Campaign” for all Southern California companies in 2018.

Southern California is home to some of the best agencies, marketers, media planners and creatives in the entire advertising industry, and the IDEA Awards celebrate the region’s advertising and media superstars. Now in its eighth year, the IDEA Awards honor the campaigns, agencies, clients and individuals that exemplify the best the region has to offer.

Our “UnBULLievably Entertaining” campaign for Ferdinand brought the lovable bull from his namesake movie to life through interactive, rich-media creatives within the mobile gaming environment. Mobile gamers could interact with Ferdinand in fun and unique ways by playing mini-games directly within the ad unit. The experiences mimicked the gameplay mechanics of whichever game the player was previously playing, helping drive increased relevancy and engagement. We developed three different customized playable ad units and optimized and localized each one in 16 different countries, resulting in over 220 unique creative experiences.
